Hope in Alzheimer’s Care
Exciting news for patients and families navigating Alzheimer’s disease.
We’re pleased to share that the Infusion Centre at Delmont Private Hospital is now up and running, providing access to both therapies.
Two emerging treatments, Donanemab and Lecanemab, are offering new possibilities. These infusion therapies work by removing amyloid from the brain, helping to slow progression and extend the time people remain well.
Best results are seen early in the disease, before significant brain cell damage has occurred.
As with all treatments, there are important risks and potential side effects, but many patients are experiencing remarkably positive outcomes.
We warmly welcome referrals to the Infusion Centre from the patient's treating doctor. Please submit the referral to the attention of Dr Peter Drysdale, consulting@delmonthospital.com.au .
