Delmont Private Hospital’s Graduate Nurse Program is a 12 month structured program which includes three clinical ward rotations and three specialty rotations. Program provides a comprehensive and clinical rich learning environment through all inpatient and outpatient departments.
You will receive a thorough orientation at the beginning of the program, followed by ongoing learning opportunities through scheduled graduate study days, regular in-service training, and reflective sessions designed specifically for graduates. The program also offers a specialized educational pathway to support your transition into a rewarding career in mental health nursing.
Graduate Nurse Program offers

Eligibility Criteria:
We welcome applications from student nurses who are approaching graduation, recently graduated nurses and experienced Registered Nurses.
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Student Nurses – who will complete all training requirements and will qualify for registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Midwife (RM) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia by February 2026.
- Be an Australian/NZ citizen OR temporary resident with unrestricted working rights in Australia.
Renumeration:
- All successful candidates will be remunerated according to the Delmont Private Hospital’s Nursing Enterprise Agreement 2023
Requirements:
- All Delmont Hospital Employees are required to be vaccinated against Influenza with a TGA approved vaccine and must provide evidence of their vaccination status. This is in accordance with the Secretary Directions and Ministerial Directions of the Department of Health and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
- All Delmont Hospital Employees are strongly recommended to be vaccinated and up to date with COVID-19 as per ATAGI guidance and the Australian Immunisation Handbook.
- Delmont supports a facility-wide risk-based workforce immunisation program consistent with the current immunisation requirements for health care workers.
