We are seeking a senior counsellor who has experience leading, supervising, and managing teams to work across our Inpatient Therapy and Day Programs Department. The applicant must possess specialised skills and experience in the planning of and delivery of group-based therapies to patients with a broad range of psychiatric illnesses.

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified and registered Counsellor with a minimum 10 years of experience working in an acute mental health setting with adolescence and young adults (aged up to 25yrs).
  • Demonstrated experience working within a group setting.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with a range of theoretical frameworks, i.e., DBT, Schema, Attachment Theory, Trauma Informed Therapy, Developmental Psychology, Narrative Therapy, ACT, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mindfulness.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate evidence–based group interventions.
  • Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse communities  
  • Experience with complex trauma (grief and loss) and PTSD is preferable
  • Required PACFA Registration

Renumeration:

  • Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and as per the relevant Delmont EA
  • $99,000 - $130,000 (dependant on years of experience) - base rate with relevant penalties

Requirements:
