Mental Health Nurse Therapist/Psychologist/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist/Music Therapist/Mental Health Counsellor

Permanent Part Position (6 days a fortnight including Saturdays and/or Sundays)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative individual with the skills, experience and flexibility to work in the Aged Psychiatry Group Therapy Program, including weekends.

You must be a team player with a positive, flexible and adaptable outlook. Highly developed individual and group therapy skills are essential, as well as a strong theoretical base and experience in CBT, ACT and Mindfulness. 

You will have a vision for excellence, a strong interest in program development and enjoy the challenge of providing quality care and service to older adults with complex mental health issues and their families/carers.

Key selection criteria:


  1. Relevant qualifications and registrations with a minimum of 2 years experience working in an acute adult mental health setting or Aged Care setting.
  2. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate evidence–based group interventions as well as single-session individual interventions as required.
  3. Knowledge and skills in addressing the mental health needs of older adults and their families.
  4. Strong understanding and working experience of psychological frameworks including CBT, ACT and Mindfulness.
  5. A flexible, innovative and compassionate approach.
  6. Ability to work a minimum of 3 shifts including 1-weekend shift.
