GP/Psych Educational Event: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Treatments and the Psychiatric Issues of the Aging Veteran

All GPs and Psychiatrists are invited to this very unique educational seminar on Posttrauma Stress Disorder.

Presented by: Dr Richard Bonwick and A/Prof Darryl Wade

This presentation will provide an update on research into innovative and adjunctive treatments for vetarans with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as the psychiatric issues of aging veterans.  Links to further information and resources will be provided as well as time for futher discussion.

An overview of the Centenary of ANZAC Centre at Phoenix Australia will also be presented.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Update on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder treatments for mental health conditions in veterans.
  • Understanding of the chronic mental conditions that can persist into old age and therefore, the requirement for optimal treatments for aging veterans.
  • Awareness of the Centenary of ANZAC Centre Practitioner Support Service and the availability of the expert advice, guidance, and support available to practitioners regarding veteran mental health.
