This seminar is focused on addressing the various treatment options and its symptoms that may occur at any stage in the progression of depression.  It will look at both medical and psychological issues in patients.  Presentations will include case vignettes and clinical management, that you, as GPs, may have experienced with your patients.

TOPICS INCLUDE:

  • How to select which antidepressant is best for each patient
  • How to differentiate between severe depression and treatment resistant
  • What are the care options available for the treatment resisitant patient
  • Management - Psychological, Behavioural and Medication Modalities for mild and moderate depression
  • When to refer to a specialist treatment and how this can assist you
