Dr Devi De Alwis is a sessional Consultant Psychiatrist at Delmont Private, with extensive psychiatric experience. She has an expertise in supportive psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy and managing memory problems. 

Her long-term wellness perspective results in a supportive patient care style. She uses appropriate doses of medication when necessary with ongoing review to maintain wellness on lower medication doses. Devi's approach to understanding patient needs is sensitive, encouraging open and comprehensive consultations. Devi is dedicated to providing excellence and attentiveness in patient care, seeing individuals with a wide variety of conditions.

Dr De Alwis began her training in Sri Lanka, achieving her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Colombo. She has also trained locally, attaining her Master of Psychological Medicine and Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma in Psycho-oncology from the University of Melbourne. Devi has participated in a research project at Monash Health, studying Comorbid Anxiety in the Depressed Elderly.
